An energy baseline is determined using the lamp and ballast data that is collected during the comprehensive lighting audit and from information gathered from the building occupants. In some instances adjustments are made for failed lamps in the existing lighting system. Historically, this has proven to be the most accurate means of determining the existing connected load. The value is then utilized to calculate energy cost using the rate structure of the utility. Upon completion, installation costs and recurring cost savings are quantified in an easy-to-read format.
